Sebastiano Montresor is a freelancer specialised in shooting and editing news, advertisement campaigns, documentaries, videoclips and feature films. I take care of the whole creative process, from the original idea to the finished product, with any audio-visual standards, from the storyboard to the final cut, compression and DVD authoring. His background includes the theoretical study of the filmed image with Luciano Tovoli (Professione: Reporter, Tenebre), work experiences with Vittorio Storaro (Apocalypse Now, Dick Tracy), and practical tricks learnt by Marco Incagnoli (Rai, Mediaset). He produced in 2002 his first work and in the following years he further developed his agricultural cinema; meanwhile, he free-lances for several clients, from TV stations to the corporate world, press and communication agencies, private companies and associations. He's also location manager in the Verona area for Film Commissions, he arranges film crews, actor casting and special appearances, auditions and dailies editing.
COMMERCIAL
Television is a terrible thing, as we all know. However, I believe that doing it well is better than doing it bad. So, I’d rather take my time to perfect details rather than cutting corners and doing a rough job. Those who require my expertise need first and foremost to promote their events, products, services, all the good work their agency endeavors every day to offer. I strongly feel the responsibility to try my best to tell, within the restrictions of TV times, the story each of us is trying to develop. Every news piece (such as the one included in this show-reel) describes in simple and straightforward terms the passion and the commitment of Italian small and medium businesses.
MPT
The animated simulation of the correct use of this new product: MPT, My Personal Television smart TV. A new company entering the entertainment and gaming arena with very innovative ideas in terms of game accessibility and connectivity for the whole house, which is meant to become a huge digital playground. In agreement with our commissioner, we combined mixed techniques: shooting, video compositing, 3D graphics and the help of a sound track for the effects that perfected the final product. The result was a film that expressed at best the potential of this groundbreaking device, ideal for home, professional and broadcasting purposes.
Domus Salutis
Shot with cinema cameras for zooming in and dollies on panther (stage equipment with great stability to create the best movement in space); supported by the excellent photography by Daniele Trani, trusted collaborator for each work requiring the maximum quality in lighting and composition; well refined in terms of casting, as well, as witnessed by the TV starlet Marco Stabile. A film for market fairs, promotional and institutional use portrays clinics and the work of doctors, aesthetic and plastic surgeons.
Calzedonia Summer Show
Five-minute reportage made in collaboration with Luana Vollero (texts and interviews) for the well-known Verona-based company of underwear and bath suits. A day dedicated to the old times at the seaside, when we used to change clothes in booths and we put to sea with a paddle boat, played beach volley and drank cocktails on the beach. Red carpets, cat-walks, live shows by Ke$ha and many other artists on stage, designer clothes by Calzedonia, to celebrate the summer, with its colours and carefreeness. A unique event launched on magazines and general TVs globally.
